wow i cant believe that your car is rusted in the exact same areas as my own ’79 450slc would you be so kind as to forward me any advice and or photos as i’m going to start a resto on my own unless you can give me a quote as to what it will cost bearing in mind i’d have to ship the car from inverness to dublin

Hello Matthew,
I’d recommend that you completely strip the car as they tend to hid rust everywhere. I’d also recommend getting the body dipped and treated at Surface Processing.
If you’d like the body restored by Retro Cars it would cost in the region of €8500. For a full restoration give me ring for a quote.
